Hey, Twilight. What's up? Cool. Now make room for the big boys.
OK, if we move past the ridiculous "in 3-D" part of it, I could not be more excited for the "Harry Potter" films to finally come to an end. To be honest, I'm not sure how much longer I could have cared. Finally, we have reached the end.
Now, if you've read the book you know how it ends. What I'm hoping is that they don't, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, include the epilogue that was in the book. It's nothing but a few pages of vomit-inducing sentimentality. I have no soul.
The fact this trailer is being shown alongside The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is a stroke of brilliance as far as I'm concerned, intentionally or otherwise. In Harry Potter we have a series that was made with ambition, with people actually trying to make GOOD movies instead of throwing out a film every six months that simply because it has the characters teen girls love so much it must fulfill their wishes. They have even deluded themselves into thinking they are being satisfied. As far as I'm concerned, there has not been a bad Harry Potter movie. Some have been better than others, but each film has done it's job, and I feel like I'm watching something that matters. Just two films left.
